Volleyball Celebrates Senior Night

Updated: 13 minutes ago

By Isabella W. As Mountain Range fall sports end in these next few weeks, seniors are saying their farewells to their sport. Mountain Range Volleyball had their senior night on Thursday, October 24th, against Boulder High School.

The girls volleyball team holds a record of 5-17. Senior night was the second time Mountain Range took on Boulder High School this season, the first time Boulder won in 4 with Mountain Range taking a set.

Not only did Mountain Range take a set the

first time they played Boulder, but as they played for their senior night they took a set and had some amazing points on the board. To start the first points Peyton Malliard started out strong with 3 back to back aces.

Senior night is a night to recognize those seniors who have spent the last 4 years contributing to the program. It's also a time for the seniors to have one last game together. Mountain Range volleyball has a total of 10 seniors, one being a manager. To recognize those seniors all seniors played all four sets together with no underclassmen.

As this night was emotional for many of the girls on the team, the four underclassmen cheered from the bench even doing the worm every time one of their seniors did something amazing out on the court.

As the game continued, memories were created by still having fun on the court. Izzy Wolf and Adalina Rameriz put all in effort in back row even tripping over each other to keep the ball alive.

As the game came to an unfortunate ending, the Mountain Range girls volleyball team held their heads up high walking off of the court knowing the did take a set from Boulder and the last game they will play together ended with memories that will last a lifetime.
